Dreams of an Italian Summer, who doesn’t want that? This is exactly what Martone Cycling Co., maker of some seriously stunning bicycles, sought to capture in the brand’s new “Martone for Peroni” limited-edition bike, in collaboration with Italy’s premium beer brand, Peroni Nastro Azzuro. The bikes come in the signature colors of the beer brand and is available for purchase through the Martone Cycling’s website, www.martonecycling.com, with a retail price of $895. The timely release is perfect for Father’s Day gifting.

Federico Fellini’s masterpiece “La Dolce Vita,” served as the inspiration for the new bike, which is meant to conjure daydreams of “afternoons spent leisurely pedaling through the countryside, with a picnic in your bike basket and the sun on your back,” according to a press release from the brands.

“Who doesn’t daydream about warm Italian summers? Both Martone Cycling and Peroni evoke
ideas of carefree, light-hearted luxury – where for a moment, we set aside our troubles and get lost in happiness,” said Martone Cycling creator Lorenzo Martone. “My family is of Italian lineage, so this partnership makes me happy in my soul. It feels like a celebration of the good life and a reminder to enjoy the simple pleasures. In the end, that’s all that matters.”

The white frame of the bike is accented by Peroni’s signature blue in the rubber wheel
treads and seat, with a more translucent blue in the Lucite pedals. Pops of red accents the bike’s classic design, both in the handlebar grips and in Martone’s signature red chain.
